Angkor served as the historical capital of the magnificent Khmer Empire. Located within Siem Reap, it represents an exceptional destination to explore. Rich in stunning architectural designs, reflecting Khmer culture, and, of course, the breathtaking temples, Siem Reap is undoubtedly a destination of great significance when visiting this remarkable country. During our residency in Singapore, I would frequently ponder potential travel destinations, with places like Phnom Penh and Siem Reap recurrently surfacing in our discussions. In all honesty, it has always been the temples in Siem Reap that captivated my interest. Perched slightly east of Bangkok, Thailand, and slightly west of Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, Angkor is relatively straightforward to access, particularly if you are already exploring Siem Reap.
